Yes, and team founder Joe Robbie was also of Lebanese descent.

Yeah I think Joe's ancestral last name was something like "Arabi" and was changed to a more american-sounding name somewhere down the line.

I think in the 50s "Cruz" wasn't much better than "Kairouz."

True, but in the mid-60s in Miami, he'd have had some street cred early on!
