I rather have gruden than sparano...i tell you that.........how about if nobody else wants to coach the phins?
I was at the game yesterday and people, our team just does not have the talent to consistantly compete in this league nor the leadership to sustain continual improvement.
We need to do an assesment of the talent on this team (on the field and the leadership off the field) and clean out everyone that does not have a role in bridging the gap.
My personnel interpretation yesterday of everyone one of the Miami Dolphin players after yesterday's game: Smith (no 24) is only a role player. He may be good as a nickle back.
Wake (no 91) is the same thing. He is only good at rushign the passer and decent with the rest of his game. When you are one dimensional player, you get man handled by a ROOKIE (see game one of this year).
As a matter of fact, the rest of our players , I would classify as true role players. The only players that are true blue chip on this team are: Jake Long and...well really nobody else. Henne is trying to break that gap, but he has a long, long, long way to go.
Every one else will have great plays or even great games here and there, but for what we want and need, they fall very short. As far as the long term success of this team, the spuratic successes of these role players is similar to having a bandaid pulled off slowly instead of fast.
Lets pull this bandaid off fast (I like Tony, but it is time to go). Lets start the review of the players now, for the future of this team.
With the talent we have now, combined with our current record, the competitive phase of the 2011 season is officially over for the Miami Dolphins. Yes this is a marathon season, but we have two professional marathon runners in our division and they have a 2 to 3 mile lead on us and we are a middle aged, fat guy who cannot find his shoes right now to start the race.

Can't find his shoes?
He can't find his wheelchair because he is severely handicapped.

hahahahah, great way of putting it, I will add, he is also looking for shoelaces to tie those running shoes once he gets them on...(SD and the Jets...umm I dont think so...leave the running shoes off)
