Lets say Tony gets canned going into the bye week and Nolan's named interim HC, he somehow wins 7 games, and Ireland convinces Ross that we're really not that far away.

So next year we have Jeff Ireland as GM, Mike Nolan as HC and Chad Henne as QB........same sh$@, different year! Maybe letting Sparano flop around like a Tuna out of water, isn't such a bad thing after all.

Yes it is we aren't that far away Sparano sucks as a head coach as he ultimately responsible for what the team does during the game. Fire his ass, and let Nolan finish the season. We need accountabilty, and were not getting it with chef Boyardee dammit.

I dont want the phins to win 7 games. I dont even want them to win 1 game.......I dont care about this year anymore. I care about the future of this team.

1. Build the team around players like bess, hartline, henne yes henne i said it.........jake long etc

2. Fire all the coaches and hire new blood.

3. And lets get on to the draft.

Agreed build around luck........henne could be the backup and can start the season next year.....I dont want luck thrown into the wolves....too soon......

I'm not saying to not fire Sparano, i'm just saying to wait a while. Coaches are a very tight fraternity, no good coach (Cowher/Fisher/Gruden/Billick) is gonna come in this year to coach, out of respect to Sparano/Nolan, so that leaves our only real candidates as Nolan/Daboll to take over. If either one (probably Nolan) has the players rally around him and he wins 6 or 7 games and Ross still fires him, thats gonna be another black eye for Ross (to go along with the way he treated Sparano last off-season).

I still think Miami will one of the most attractive Job openings this off-season, but Ross has to play his cards right and not screw this up.

If Nolan won 7 games, the pressure would be on Ross to keep him, i'm not saying he has to, but it would be another black eye if he didn't IMO.

Hey, Jim Bates went 3-5 after Wanny went 1-8, and the fans were screaming to keep Bates as our HC. It didn't happen.

Maybe, but if one of the big name favorites became available during the offseason (Chuckie, TheChin, etc) I'll bet the fans would be happy with the interim stint of Nolan being truly during the interim.

If Nolan was to pull the team together and we start reeling off wins to the tune of 8-8 or 9-7...then he'd have earned consideration as the new coach. Assuming Sparano is fired during the season that is.

If I was Ross I'd be talking to all of the primary players on the phone right now...just a preliminary feeling out process mind you.
