Lockout Hangover

The most surprising thing about our Dolphins team at this stage of the season is that our Defense stinks.

I expected a much higher curve of stinkdom w/ our offense since we changed systems, coaches, RB's, and another offensive line revamp.

But, the reality is this... the lockout gave us a much shortened off-season that directly affects installing any type of changes, player conditioning, and on field player communication.

Teams such as the Packers and Patsies are way ahead of teams that had to do a major reconstruct.

Hopefully, the Defense will shake off the bad tackling, undisciplined play, & clean up the communication. And hopefully, the offense will start to click in the redzone using all of our weapons.

There is nothing like a good road game to get us back on track. We seem to have a better focus and performance on the road. It's time to shake off the pathetic play and climb out of this hole.

GO PHINS!

Jim we had a good or great record on the road last year just like we had a great pass rush and defense....this is a new year..

We wont know until we play the games if we are going to be good on the road or not this year.

Communication usually runs through the ILBs and FS. With new guys at 2 of the 3 positions, it's not crazy that we've had communication problems.

Step 1: demote Rashad Jones.

Heck if I know, but I wonder why we haven't tried any of our CBs at FS. I know just Jones is a HUGE liability. I can't believe we can't find someone just average at this position who can, at least, not make huge mistakes.
