Remind us never to consider Matt Cassel

The KC-Bills game was a sorry show for the Chiefs. But Matt Cassel's performance was particularly putrid.

One of the plays that stands out for me is that he went back to throw a pass in the backfield. The defensive lineman batted it back into his hands.

Cassel bobbled it and bobbled it as it was going down toward the ground, trying all the time to catch it before it hit the ground.

He succeeded. The idiot!

As he cradled it and firmly went to the ground making sure no tip of the ball hit the ground without having his hand under it,............he thereby ensured a 4 yard loss in what should have been an incompletion.

I'm sure the defensive lineman said, "Thank you, Matt. My first option would have been for one of my guys to catch it but my next option was for one of your guys to catch it behind the line of scrimmage and get tackled immediately."
