Daniel Thomas not impressing the coaching staff.

I got faith in D. Thomas. With the short season, learning the system, and adjusting to the speed of the NFL.
I went back and watched some K-state clips. I must say D. Thomas is a unique style of runningback. He is lean and kinda tall almost looks like Mike Vick running the ball rather than a runningback. He seems to have good vision and is athletic. He seems to be more quick than he is fast. He isn't really thick like most bigger powerbacks. His style doesn't really remind me of any past or current runningbacks. Who do you guys think his style resembles?

I think its just a matter of timing & recognition w/ Thomas. I noticed he was a little hesitant in hitting the holes to. I think it has to register that the holes in the nfl open up and close quicker than they do in college. He will be ok, seems like he knows the problem and is willing to correct it.
He reminds me a little of OJ Anderson. Although OJ was even more powerful, Anderson could carry some defenders on his back. Maybe even Delvin Williams sometimes Thomas' motion makes him looks as if he is gliding, DW had that look about him to.
Another case of sensationalist journalism. Nowhere did it show where any dolphin staffer was unimpressed. To the contrary it says TS is impressed with how he doesn't make the same mistakes after being corrected.
Just a stupid headline to grab your attention.
It seems Thomas was drafted about where Ronnie Brown should have been. I think he'll be every bit as good as RB...hopefully much more durable.

I think it was the game against atlanta.......
He impressed me on that short pass from henne to the sidelines then he turned the corner and outran the LB easily..got a first down....He has some long strides and quickness for a running back....and he looked like a WR on that play. IMO he could be something special when he gets some experience.
They were saying something that he wasnt hitting the whole fast enough. its a different faster game in the NFL....But the potential and the tools there.

Yea I can see that, another guy he kinda reminds me of is Marcus Allen. Kinda lean but with power, doesn't look like he is moving very fast but finds his way through, uses a lot of spin moves.

I know the play your talking about. That's one reason I think he will be okay because I've seen him on a few plays look like he did in college which is a good sign if he can look that way at the nfl level.
Man is not slacking of he is slow on his reads and that's natural. He is a rookie w/ a short camp and is picking up the offense. The guy will be ok. Some people just look for oppurtunities to piss on these guys who are busting there asses.
Can't wait to see in person on Saturday. Hopefully TB has MCCoy back in the lineup so we can get some better competition. Brian Price, Adrian Clayborn and DeQuan Bowers will be interesting to see as well.
Nice 730pm game so I won't be sweating like a pig!
