Seems we have already gotten rid of overpaid players that didn't live up to their contracts or have restructured.

Only player left I can think of to free up money is Paul Soliai and giving him a long term contract. I don't see paying a huge contract for 10 mil a year though. Need to get him down to a cap hit of about 8 mil including bonus.

who could/should we sign for that? I think we still need another RB---seems quite risky to leave all the 1st and 2d down carries to a rookie and quite stupid to think Reggie Bush is suited for the role as opposed to the mismatch/3d down back. but anyone we sign for that shouldn't cost more than 1mm or so.
I still think we should have signed Brian Waters at G and let Carey and Columbo fight it out for RT with the loser providing excellent depth. Oh well

It was reported today that the team is indeed working on a long term extension for Langford.

There could be some more guys cut today as team's needed to get under the cap. Signing a Jason Snelling or Jerome Harrison would seem to make sense as insurance for both Bush and Thomas. Another OT to compete with Colombo, who was lousy last year, could make sense. And Dashon Goldson could make sense at FS.

i'd be happy resigning roth. he's just what we need opposite wake. then move misi to the inside? never happen of course, with the egos involved. he'll be destroying us for years after he signs with the pats

Roth is a below-average player in this league.
