Hello QB's coach Chad pennington

I think he would fill a valuable role on the coaching staff helping our QB's become better players and students of the game. Sparano should offer him the position before he goes to work for another team.

We already have a QB Coach. The position is already filled.

I just heard we fired Karl Dorrell and replaced him with Pennington. Breaking news. Look for it!

by a bad WR coach who never played or coached the QB position? no thanks I'll take anyone else. Pennington would be much much better ad if he wants the job he should take it. We'd have hired zorn instead of dorell had he been available at the time and not 2 weeks later

Karl Dorrell has been coaching for 22 years, with extensive time as an offensive coordinator, and 5 years as the head coach of a major Division 1 program. Chad Pennington has no coaching experience whatsoever.

I kinda agree D-mark, everyones clamoring for Penny when we have no clue what kind of coach he'd make, it was worse when people were calling for him to be OC

Well the fact that he played in the league at a high level, and understands the game from a technical stadpoint should tell you that he would make one hell of a coach period. If only you could take his brain and put it in Henne's body wow what a player.

I disagree. Some great players have made piss-poor coaches. Penny was kept here to mentor Henne, and while Henne has given credit to Penny for teaching him the ropes, the lack of development on Henne's part has made me question Penny's ability to coach. Of course, this may be due to Henne's inability to learn as well.

Penny has been talked about as the 2nd-coming of Don Strock for Miami, but he hasn't earned that distinction...at least, not yet. Strock WAS, basically, a player/coach early in Dan's career. So, it was a logical move for Strock to go to coaching. I'm not so sure it would work out the same for Penny.

Yeah I'm not saying he can't be a good coach some day, just there is zero proof that its a given.

I think Penny already brings more to the table at the QB positon than Dorrell

btw, anyone hear today that marino is being hired by the team as a "qb consutlant"? heard it on the radio this morning

Might be an April fools joke Berk, wouldn't he have to give up his TV spot if he was a coach? And why would they hire him now with the work stoppage? Pretty lame attempt at an April fools joke if it is.

Thats why Pennington should be offered a position as an assistant to the official quarterback coach...to give him a chance to prove his worth with little risk to the team.

This would make the most sense.......if Penny would be willing to put in a ton more hours for less pay. My guess is he could get a higher paying job in a booth somewhere while putting in less time.

I wanted Chad P for OC (shut UP!) and since that job was given to the pizza delivery dude I think we should use Pennington an assistant OC in charge of ALL non-pizza related matters including replacing Sparano eventually with no pepperoni.
