Why not an extended draft?

Date: March 16, 2011 11:06AM This brings up another good point. Carolina will not be awarded the same luxury most teams with 1st pick in the draft are awarded. That is the right of the team with the first pick to negotiate with its possible drafts pick before the draft. So they have an idea of how much each guy wants and how hard it is going to be to sign them if they choose that player. That is a big deal IMO. Sucks for Carolina Re: Why not an extended draft?
