This is a moderated phorum for the CIVILIZED discussion of the Miami Dolphins. In this phorum, there are rules and moderators to make sure you abide by the rules. The moderators for this phorum are JC and Colonel.
They would make Henne look good. Our receivers are the slowest in the league. We need a deep threat. Jones and Green are can't miss prospects. It just makes sense
I don't think either are all that impressive. I think they're both tall receivers that are pretty good. These guys don't have the skill set anywhere near what Dez Bryant had when he came out last year. They're not as impressive as Crabtree was when he came out. I take that back, A.J. Green is close. He is good, but I'm not sure he's worth risking our future for. A.J Green is definate a 1st round talent, but not a once in a generation type of WR worth selling the farm to go up and get. Not sure he'd be worth selling our whole draft for, giving up key picks next year, and mortgaging our future for, because that's what it would probably take to get him. We have way too many needs that we are going to need to adress next year to do that, ie. QB. If we wait til next year to address QB (like I think we should given the quality of talent that will be available to grab) we are going to need all the picks we can get to be able to make a move.
Do you guys watch SEC football. Jones a bust? Crabtree was better. All Crabtree had to do was sprint downfield and catch. Neither Jones or Green had all American qb's and played in the toughest conference in the land. The same one Newton and Mallet play in.
My point is: no matter what we have at QB next year, if we have the slowest WR's in the league, its going to be tough sleddin. We need a speedy wide receiver

We need a speedy WR, if one of these guys are still on the board at 15, I wouldnt put it past the FO, but I wouldnt bet it either. This draft has a ton of unknowns and first times, with out FA now the lockout and such. Will teams draft out of need more then usually or draft best stock. Will they stay away from older guys or guys that have been injured and missed their senior year? How does your value a 1st or 2nd rd pick who is expected to start and contribute out of the gate, with shortened camps and maybe no rookie camp(slow playbook learners). This draft and offseason is going to continue to be unusual as well as unpredicatable, especially if no CBA is worked out by the draft.

Stupid post, you're not even contributing to the thread. Pull the tampon out of your ass.........what should we do to get some speed at the WR position?

Its funny that you only post on this board when I say something.
Admit it, you are stalking me. You already threatened to kill me in one of your PM's.

No you see what you just wrote is a stupid post that isnt contributing anything to this board.
The reason why it is a stupid idea is 1: That is WAY too high of a draft pick to invest in a wr in the first round unless he is like projected to be the best ever, which Julio isnt.
2: We don't have many draft picks and have a much BIGGER need at O line TE, QB, and RB than to trade UP with ZERO second round picks to go get a guy who prob won't even be a elite wr.
Again stupid Idea, but at least your thinking.
What we should do to get speed, is go get a Speedy guy in the later rounds. We have enough talent now to compete, and next year we can go get the speed demon.
I would much rather have a awsome O-line than a speed guy, see Ted Ginn.

With the drop off in talent after about 9 picks...the more I think we have to trade down to regain the 2nd rounder we already gave up for a WR.
If we can trade down 8-10 spots and still be able to grab a qb...that has my vote.
I'm sure I will get flack for this but....
Ponder with a late 1st rounder and then a fast WR or RB in the 2nd who can return kicks as well as get playing time on offense....maybe a change of pace back.
