Another Lorenzo Booker, maybe? I don't really see Ireland drafting a 5'8" RB. Too much influence from Parcells.

Booker never ran a 4.3 that I can recall or had any big play ability. More like a Darren Sproles.

At 5'8" and 185, the best we could hope for this guy would be as a kick returner. He's too small for anything else.

Everyone runs 2-3 backs these days, very few everydown backs

Barry Sanders ws 5'8" , Emmit Smith 5'9"

Those guys were 200 pounds, not 185. They were, also, both monsters in college playing against some of the best teams on the country. So, I wouldn't compare Locke to those guys.

I'm not saying Locke won't be successful in the NFL, but he'll never been as good as Sanders or Smith, and our front office has shown a consistent penchant for drafting BIG guys. There's no way we take Locke, unless we think he can return kicks.

Maybe Booker isn't the comparison. How about John Avery?

and who is going to block for him to display this speed? We dont have speed because this staff only drafts for size and strength. You can always find speed late in the draft. The real problem is who is going to block for him? You can be as fast as you want you aint going to outrun NFL players going east and west. The real problem and #1 thing to address is our O-line. If we can block and get guys to the second level the truth is it dont matter who is back there. RB are a dime a dozen.

Look at cj spiller, his zero to 60 is faster than piss- how did he do with all of his speed? Yeah he did crap cause his line is crap. If we dont fix the line locke or any other speedster is a waste of a draft pick
