or stand pat and take best available offensive player. This is a hard question I say we trade down, and then take best available offensive player, and hopefully gain a 2nd round pick. I think we could get an impact player later in the draft because their are so many juniors coming out this year. We need to fill many holes trading down would help us fill them faster. What do you guys think if Julio jones falls to #15 would you take him or still trade down? That would be a tough delimma for our brain trust on draft day.
It's a bad draft for offensive players. There may not be an offensive player worth the #15 pick, so a trade down is a distinct possibility. Plus, Ireland says they want to get their 2nd rd pick back. The only way that happens is by trading down, or by trading a quality player.
I don't think there is anyone worth trading UP for. All of the QBs have big issues where they are not worth a first round pick plus even more. So the question is what would we take at 15. I gotta say we go offense, probably OL or RB. I think we can get a good one of those farther down than 15, so a trade down makes sense.
What about adding stars to the defense and build a "D" like the 2000 Ravens?
Cameron Jordan, Akeem Ayers, Robert Quinn, Ryan Kerrigan, JJ Watt, Adrian Clayborn, Brandon Harris, and Rahim Moore *COULD* be on the board when we pick.
We could just build a defense that doesnt allow points. They dont score, we dont lose.
If Dolfanmark is right, and this is a down year for offense, then why now try and take advantage of a defensive draft, and build an *ABSOLUTE ELITE* defense!?
I like it.

I think the fact that it's a D heavy draft makes a trade down more likely since we don't need D in the first, and lots of teams might want to move up to take someone at 15. Too bad last year was very O heavy, and we went D, this year is very D heavy and we NEED O big time. What else is new with this team

I agree. IMPACT player. IMO trying to build a 'unit' like an OL in one or two drafts is exponentially harder than trying to find a player that can make a difference with just his individual skills. Even if you find good players, you never know how they will work together and compliment each other. Draft the best player available!

RESPONSE: What would you say to having another Cameron Wake on the opposite side playing with him?

From a prediction-perspective, he was right! His evaluation of talent is a whole different thing.
I think with QB's especially the run first guy's, analysist have had to take into account, how much the qb contributed to there team's college success, and can't be biased about them transitiong into the NFL.
