I think right after the Super Bowl this thing will be covered 24-7 hopefully shaming the owners into some concessions. The owners are really pushing for the 18 game season and supposedly the players would go for it if the owners were to sweeten the pot. I agree, if Billionares vs Millionaires costs any games, they will have a hard time bouncing back from that in the fans eyes.

I read somewhere, I think it was a post here (so it must be true!) that the players had already agreed to the 18 game season, or the owners already have that option. Do I have that right?
I heard some money guy on NFLradio yesterday morning, he said the players haven't agreed to it yet, they want some concessions from the owners before they do that, ie; less mandatory off-season stuff, maybe a 6 game IR instead of the whole season and some other stuff I cant remember right now. My guess is we'll see an 18 game season in 2012 and a rookie wage scale whenever this thing gets cleared up.
Team value 2 billion. Gross Profit 20 million. That's 1% return on investment on GROSS profit.
Most team don't do nearly that well according to the article.
