Point........... Its easy to be a great coach and come into a great situation with great players and coaches and win a superbowl. Are they afraid of failure? IMO yes. What makes a great coach? Someone that can turn a franchise around.... Thats why i believe parcells is one of a kind. Hes made it happen with many teams. Yes he quit the phins and the hell with him or whatever but you know what i mean. GO PHINS. Re: Gruden and cowher might think we are years away from benn contenders.

Date: January 06, 2011 06:46AM I have been a Sparano supporter, but due the event of this week, he is a goner.
I wish we were getting Cohwer, ditch Ireland and Nolan if needed. I have always admired Cohwer and it's not a major philosophy shift from the Parcell/Sparano regime. I will take the proven coach who has rebuilt the Steelers many times over the years, he is no fluke. I am not excited about Harbaugh at all. He is another unknown.
