You either can Sparano, and hire Gruden, or Cowher, or you keep Sparano.
1: New OC.
2: Start Thigpen, draft a mid round QB.
3: Trade down our first round pick, to acquire a second, then use both on Guard/C.
4: Use third round pick on TE, 4th round on RB, 5th round on QB, 6th and 7th on more O-line.
5: Go after Vincent Jackson, and Deagelo Williams.
Retain Brown, let William walk unless he takes min or close to it. Cut or trade Hilliard, welcome back Sheetz.
6: Go after another PK one who can make the kick past 40 yards.
If the team can do somthing like that then we should be a 10-6/ 11-5 team next year.
Yes it's that simple, Ross read this and get it done.
Hey if we get no new QB, I would give him a chance, but I would get a new OC HC and then I would do my best to get a QB, whatever that takes, I am not sure if that would be obtainable. That is why I am at this keyboard and not working for the fins.. But with some of the past recent drafts, I think they should let me try, they can pay me big bucks to select Ginn White and a bunch of other players that will not be here in a year or two...

Sparano doesn't have the luxury of waiting for a young 2nd tier QB to develop. If he does make it to 2012 he is going to need someone that can step in and show something ala Sam Bradford.
More likely, he is going to need a vet (Kyle Orton) and a 1st round QB like Andrew Luck, Cam Newton or Blaine Gabbert.
Move Incognito to center, sign a stud FA guard. (Nate Garner return)
Find a 4.35 WR that can get on the field and catch the ball. Someone who will command double teams.
Find a legit TE. Fasano is a number 2 TE at best. WE HAVE to get back to two TE sets so we are going to need at least two more.
Fire David Lee and hire a legit QB GURU who has actually developed a QB.

Billy Volek would be better. Orton will cost us draft picks.

Berger may be a decent guard as well. This may just work out.

A 4.35 guy that can catch? Easier said than done.

Haynos will be back, but I agree. We shouldn't have let Martin and Sperry go.

How about Chad Pennington?

Our current guy hasn't been bad, actually.

Dont act cute youve pulled this crap a BUNCH of times. Hatefull no, never said it was, more like adding fuel to the fire thats all.
Our place kicker did just fine this year. As a matter of fact he had or at least was close to pro bowl status until that game where he missed all field goals.
Other than that game he had a great season.
Its insane to think we need to sign another Kicker.
And about him not hitting the 40 yarders. Are you serious?
samsam3738 Wrote: bignasty fish i agree with everything. except one thing. Trade henne for what? A bag of nickels? Maybe a bag of pennies? Is he even worth anything right now?
PS. What you say is easier said than done but if some of it happens next year we are a better team.
I've said a used paper clip before. But hey, I'll even include the future rights to Pat White and 3 Donna Summers records for a decent G or maybe a 5th (which we'd use on another QB prospect).
Key point is: we're NOT going to solve all our issues with one off-season so dismantle and rebuild in stages...
