Despite the controversy I still like the way the playoffs are set up with division winners going to the playoffs even if some teams that didn't win their division have a better record.

All teams like Seattle will benefit from it some years and other years become a casualty of it, it all comes around.

Another strange fact: Oakland was undefeated in its division and still missed the playoffs.

I think there needs to be a rule set up stating that in the case of other conferance team's hold a better and winning record, that even if a team is winning there division, they would need at least a 9-7 record to make the playoff's, otherwise it goes to the conferance team with the record of at least 10-6.

There certainly needs to be more wildcard teams. Stretch the play-offs out to about April or May.

My problem isnt that Seattle made the playoffs with a losing record.
The fact they get a home playoff game against NO bothers me a bit. And the biggest bother is the fact Seattle picks #8 in the draft and get a home playoff run. No team that makes the playoffs should pick ahead of a team that didnt get to the playoffs IMO.

Sweet. Good for them.
