What if there is no draft?

It is possible that the NFL doesn't have a draft this year. If there was no draft, then how would it effect future drafts? Consider if team A traded its 1st rounder in 2011 to team B and its first rounder in 2012 to team C. Does everything thing shift a year?

I say we don't have the draft and skip this year altogether. That way we essentially get Marshall for only one 2nd rounder and the Patriots lose out on their stockpile of picks. I know that it is just wishful thinking though, but wouldn't that be sweet?

There will for sure be a draft, but maybe no free agency period.

The draft will happen whether football is played or not.

it is not possible that there will be no draft. the draft is the last thing to occur under the current CBA.
