Depends upon our off season aquisitions, injuries and our teams execution in games.
Beyond all of that it will depend upon how much Henne improves over the off season.
But overall I'd say there is a better than average chance we make the playoffs next season if Sparano and Henne stay and if we add a better system on offense.
I said before the game Sparano was guaranteed to be gone if they lost to the Lions at home. I can't see how Ross will risk another year with him - if for marketing reasons alone.
Couple that with the HC talent that's in play and the deal is DONE.
If (???) Sparano finds a way to survive his credibility is ZERO and I don't see the team sticking with him. So he'll only get canned mid-year next season IMO.
Last off-season the defense was addressed and the improvement has been impressive. This off-season the offense will be overhauled big time. IF Nolan stays on and IF the defense stays motivated then there is a reasonably good chance that the team will be better than average and sneak into the play-offs.
Until I see better QB play, I don't care who the coach is. This team is not going to win much more than it is now until that position improves drastically. Chad Henne has played like ass and I don't care what stats Sparano wants to look at. If you don't trust your QB to win you a game in the 4th Quarter your team can only go so far.
I agree that our coaching is terrible also, Henning, Sparano etc.. 100% agree and that if we bring in a new OC he can't possibly do a worse job than Henning this season.
But like I said, without a real QB we will be nothing more than an average team. We might win a few more games, but to go deep in the playoffs and make a super bowl run it just won't happen with Henne
