i would take him, look what he did with orton, im sure he could definitely aid in the development of Henne, and he would be more of a modern style of playcalling, instead of that fossils, antiquated playbook we have now.

"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry

I already mentioned that he needs to be our new QB coach, and wouldnt be a bad idea to make him a OC, however I like Childress more.

So why not bring in both.

That's how I'm feeling, g fish. I think Sparano could save face with Josh on his staff. At this point in time, anyone but Henning's approach to the game would be better.

No he played Knoshawn Moreno over Peyton Hillis. He actually benched then traded Hillis. The man is a terrible talent evaluator.

You do realize that McDaniels ran Brandon Marshall and Mike Nolan out of Denver, right?

That's why he's horrible HC material. That's a job where he's in over his head, and his ego. OC/QB coach is all I'd consider him for & nothing more.

I think Marshall as well as Cutler both had loyalty towards Shanarat to begin with. There was a great feeling of betrayal when Shanny was fired, and Josh didn't help matters much in that department by pushing his weight around as the new HC.

Nice discussion folks, keep it up!

Here's another question -

What head coach could he work with, or I should say what HC could work with him?

Thoughts?

A lot of people are obviously ignoring that fact. Adding McDaniels would cause our team to self destruct.

I contemplated that, but honestly I feel that it goes deeper than just Josh. The animosity was instantly created towards the organization the moment Shanny got fired. That in itself started the dominoes to fall. Both Marshall, Cutler, & God knows who else were already pissed.

Could Josh, Nolan, & Marshall kiss and make up?

Maybe, maybe not. Good question though. That would be the job for Mr. happy-happy-joy-joy feelings high five after a field goal "see you on Wednesday" Sparano to take charge of, if in fact he'd still be here in the state that this team is in.

Well, it would definitely make practices more competitive! Nolan -vs- McDaniels. Of course, what happens when Marshall asks to play Safety.

He didnt like Marshall, and Mike Nolan hates him.

So, let me ask you a question. Why would Josh McDaniels be welcomed here?

I don't know why but the thought "what a punk" appears in my mind everytime I see McDaniels on TV. Might be just my imagination but I don't think I'm alone in this.

Do people remember Marshall refusing to play the last game of the season? And McDaniels called him out. And Marshall held a press conference talking about how McDaniels doesn't understand playing hurt because he never played the game? I don't think that relationship is going to be repaired.
