Before I make my point, I want an answer to the question so I can be sure of my premise.
On the last 48 yarder missed by Carpenter, the ball was shanked to the right.
In your opinion, how many yards before the goalpost did the kick began to go off to the right. In other words, did the ball fade right before approaching the uprights or was the kick outside of the two goal posts EVEN BEFORE IT PENETRATED THE END ZONE LINE?
I'm trying to find out by how many yards we missed that field goal.
I presume the difference is that the play calling to set up that FG was pathetic and if you could have gotten him a few yards closer maybe he makes it.

Undoubtedly, he had a bad day. It happens to kickers. I think the pressure of being the guy that had to win the game got to him. We just can't be expecting to win by FGs each and every game.
