Volek will be a FA. If our offer is good enough, SD won't match it. The suggestions are good, but we need another TE badly.

Volek would be nothing more then a stop-gap measure.

I feel stop-gap may be the best we can hope for in 2011. I still think we need to give Henne a closer look...with a different OC. The QBs options coming out in 2011 aren't that great. If we build up the O-Line and other positions of need in 2011 with young guys, we should be ready for a Rothlisberger-type to step in in 2012. Look at Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco...compared to Matt Stafford. Ryan and Flacco were able to step in as rookies on strong teams (like Big Ben did) and be successful. Stafford has been running for his life in Detroit.

And by the way, I'm not so sure that Volek could do any better or worse then Henne could, IMO.

In 2004 was Henning Voleks OC? How many times in those 400 yrd passing games was he pulled for the wildcat?

Although I agree Henning needs to go, you can't blame all of Henne's terrible reads and passes and inefficiency on the OC . I thought he was the answer, but his inability to execute in the red zone and decision making has questioned this. The decisionnot to draft a RB has not helped

I really would like to see Thigpen
