is what one of the announcers of the Pitt-Cincy game said at the end of the first half with the score tied 7-7 and a Cincy defender dropped a wounded duck sure fire interception standing in the endzone.

What the announcer was saying is that when you give up three points by dropping an interception even in the first half, it can come back to bite you.

Why this post? To point out that the "Henne lost us this game" people on this board, thought it was absolutely ridiculous for me to point to Nolan Carroll's dropped sure interception even though the score was tied in our game also BUT IT WAS WITH ONLY LESS THAN TWO MINUTES LEFT IN THE GAME AND Nolan had a sure-fire touchdown or at least (even worse for the Browns) he was standing in field goal range where he caught it so even had he been tackled, we could have run out the clock and kicked the field goal.

One of the beat writers reported that Carroll drove back to the team facility last Sunday night at 10:30pm to watch that play over and over on video.

The Dolphins defense did not cost the team the game last week.

They played a great game.

Yeah, right R/Jay, true enough but when people were pointing at Henne as the ONE player who cost us the game, it is fair to say if it was ONE PLAYER, it was Nolan.

R/Jay, you ought to be a lawyer because you can skillfully change the subject.

You're right, it was the other guy playing QB who threw three picks.

Oh, so you were one of those guys too. So how come you come back with the "Defense did not cost us a game" when a member of the defense did.

And it that's Henne that is responsible for ALL of our ten points today. He scrambled on a broken play to put us into field goal range and threw a touchdown pass.

What have you got to say today, R/Jay?

Oh, right. Henne was responsible for all ten points the Dolphins scored. I stand corrected.

And today's game should not have been close. Sean Smith had two TDs in his hands today, and dropped both. On good teams, those kinds of plays get made.

"great" defense means you pick off every INT that hits your hands.

Totally agree.

I would say that a handful of games we have played really good defense.

But we havent played "great" yet.

No one mentions Ronnie's play???

He stunk it up...looks like he's moving in slow motion and is a fumble waiting to happen. The wildcat once again did nothing...wasted plays!

Ronnie is done. I fully expect this to be his last season playong for us.
