Yeah, definately agree. Makes me wonder if Ireland got a little too nervous this past off season to keep up with the Jones' per say....in aquiring Marshall.
We might have been just fine with Moore and Wallace.
We need some speed. And Marshall, Bess, and Hartline do not have it. Hartline says that Vontae Davis is the only guy on the team who could beat him in a race, but he gets caught from behind a lot. But, given how strong he is coming on the last month, you do have to wonder how we would be without Marshall. I, for one, would not be terribly disappointed to see Marshall's injury keep him out a bit longer to see what we have in Moore and Wallace. Wallace, at 6'4, 225, almost matches Marshall's size, but he is faster. And Moore has some of that explosive ability that we lack.

Check out Hartline's stats the last 4 weeks. 18 catches for 328 yards. He benefits from the single coverage, but today, he had another strong game without Marshall, and had at least one long catch one on one against Asomugha.

Agreed....

Yes and someone on the radio was commenting on how all he had was a hammy injury and he was not at the game with the team. Well, it is written now we can win without him.....

I predicted the meltdown from Marshall...which could very well lead to a trade in the off season. Notice it really started when Henne was benched. Then Marshall gets hurt. I'm apt to give Brandon another chance. I like what I'm seeing from the receiving corp, and I think we could work Marshall into that. Perhaps seeing our offense move so well without him he'll be more apt to work within the system.
Marshall's frustrations were more about losing than about him not getting the ball (very different than, say, T.O. or Moss). Remember how many yards he had against NY? The defense let us down in that game, not the offense. He also played well against NE, but special teams burned us there.
Before we trade Marshall, let's see if we can actually utilize him correctly and put him in the best situations for his talent.
Look, we've all been saying we have no legit pass catching TE. Fasano is the only TE that's caught a pass this year. Well, LOOK AT MARSHALL!! Except for 15 pounds the guy is built like a TE!! He's physical. He can block. He's BIG. He has hands like GLUE!!! He's NOT super fast, but he's a load to bring down!! I'm not saying switch his position 100% of the time, but why not have him run patterns like a TE? He could, easily, be the best TE in the league!!
Rumors are that when Denver publikly announced that they were trading Brandon Marshall, that Marshall wanted to go to Chicago and re-unite with Cutler. But, Cutler was emphatic that he DID NOT WANT Marshall in Chicago.
That is why Marshall threw the ball at Cutler during the game. Says alot when a QB who puts up *HUGE* numbers with a guy does not want him on his new team.

It may say more about Cutler than Marshall. Remember, BOTH guys were traded!! Who's to know who the headcase really is.
As far as I know, there are no issues between Henne and Marshall.

Then how do explain the selfish penalty in the game against Tennessee? And the one that came very early in the game against Chicago?

Except that he is regularly among the league leaders in dropped passes.

Isn't Mullen in the CFL right now? He couldn't hang on with any other NFL team. I think you guys are kidding yourself if you think he was really that good.
