I think Kolb deserves a little asterisk by his name at least, he has started and he is a good QB, its just upfortunate for him that Mike Vick is playing out of his skull. But even with the three Qb's doing anything there, its still pretty horrible.

"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry

There were plenty of worst classes than that. What's you point?

Drafting QBs is almost always a crapshoot. In terms of 1st rounders, the 2000's have been somewhat better than the 90's; but even in the 2000's, the hit-rate on first round QBs is 50% at best.

I do think that the 2007 QB draft class shows that conventional wisdom as it pertains to college QBs quite often proves itself to be faulty. Look at the example of Brady Quinn. Fan and media expectations for Quinn were far beyond his actual abilities. In fact, even though he dropped in the draft (according to fans and the media), you could easily make the argument that he was drafted way too early.

Another thing you have to consider about quarterbacks is that at the time of every draft, there are 32 starting quarterbacks in the NFL. Yet, there are multiple quarterbacks picked. So there is bound to be a built-in high rate of failure as most quarterbacks drafted are given approximately 3 to 4 years to become a starter or a permanent backup.

First of all, you dont have the right to question me, you troll.

Now onto the real fans,

Secondly, 1999 atleast had a possible Hall of Famer in Donovan McNabb. Culpepper did put up crazy numbers until his injury.

1996 on the other hand is one of the most digraceful QB drafts as well. There was only like 4 or 5 even selected in the entire draft.

my nightmare---ross cleans house and gets rid of sporano/ireland, brings in some numbskull, who then falls for the kevin kolb hype and trades a first rounder for him.

kolb is overrated. I think the Eagles' success at QBs is due to Andy Reid. Every QB they've ever had there played 2x the level they played anywhere else. E.g. AJ Feely is god awful, except when he's with Philly. Mike Vick has taken his game to a completely different level as a passer than when he was with ATL. Only a moron like Rick Speilman would get taken in by the "potential" of Eagles' QBs.

Well according to some guys 'round here most those dudes jus need a li'l more time to develop.

But yea, that's a mighty unimpressive list...

A&O: here's another question, what does "my style is kneeing peoples face" mean? Either you cannot structure a proper sentence or your hero is an idiot.

Actually his name is Wanderlei Silva, he is Brazilian, which by the way means he DOES NOT SPEAK FLUENT ENGLISH!

And I actually would love to see him get you in the Muay Thai clinch and bash your head in until your eating out of your zipper.

A&O: you can't spell or structure a proper sentence, thus you lose my respect or gain any credibility with you rantings. If you wanted to say "your" that's a term that means ownership it isn't a verb now is it?

I agree, it appears some years, no matter the need, dont draft a QB...

I also agree that Kolb is overrated. The mere fact he was drafted in 2007 in between Quinn and Beck should alomost get him cut just for that.......haha

The fact that THigPen was drafted last, gives me some hope he is the Tom Brady of that draft. The last hope to save the name of that QB draft class...

Yeah Thigpen will make Phinsfan's list as the 5th QB in the 7th round and the best of that bunch.

FYI:.... correcting spelling and grammar mistakes on this website is pointless. I believe people just want to say how they're feeling w/out having to send a rough draft to a professor first.

All of the people reading the messages understand what the poster is trying to say. The endless personal criticism is dulling the flavor is this site!
