That his team is imploding at the hand of a mediocre QB and $h*tstain coaching and he has to sit back and watch, knowing he can take this team to atleast 10-6 if not better. If you look closely you can see his disguisted look.
I hope to god they (coaches) figure something out soon and maybe give Chad a chance to redeem the season or atleast show that HENNE truly sucks a$$ as an NFL QB

So, we can lose with a smart QB or with a dumb QB? My problem with Penny at this point, Marshall's passes will all be REALLY short. Brandon will get continuously frustrated, and he'll probably have a melt down like he did in Denver. I'd like to avoid that.

That is a good point and a funny one....but as it stands now, Marshall doesn't get those long passes thrown ALL the time. I'm just trying to justify why I am beginning to really hate Chand Henne is all.
Pennington can't be our starter, he has no arm at all, really probably not even a high school deep ball any more. If he starts teams won't even bother defending 30 yards downfield b/c he can't reach it

Where did you get this information from? Haven't seen him throw in a long time, but the last time he was getting the ball down field about 40 plus yards.
His arm is not great but it isn't that bad! Give the guy some credit, he is good and IMO 10 times better than Henne in critical situations. I know that Henne needs to mature, but after 3 years in the system don't you think he would show consistent improvement, not consistent "IN"consistency?
guys, he had the weakest arm in the history of the nfl before his last shoulder injury, I can't imagine that another arm injury made it stronger. it's not just the deep pass but any sort of out pass to the sideline--it takes forever to get there and just flutters. it looked like more of the same in the preseaeson. CP does some amazing things, and if he had Henne's arm he'd be all world, but if he was the stating QB for this team, defenses could just ignore an entire half of the field.
The only positive thing Pennington has ever done on this team is go 11-5 when we were pounding the wildcat all over the defenses and no one could stop it, remember the 2 baltimore games? they shut it down and destroyed us... and pennington
"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry

And gfish55, to add to your point, Pennington was in large part the reason for the use of the wildcat by us in the first place. It was used by us to compensate in large part for the weakness of our passing game under Pennington.
You make a point about Ginn from one angle (his efficacy as a receiver) but from another angle, could Pennington really throw hard enough to get the ball out miles away where Ginn could fail to catch it?
Chad has the smarts I agree, however the defnses know his strength of arm is limited thus placing more defenders in the box which will destroy any valid attempts to run the ball, Im for giving Thigpen a real opportunity to show if he's got the tools to be the future for us, Henne has had uninterrupted opportunities and failed, he needs serious coaching on decision making and basic QB skills, the knock on him leaving college was poor decision maker, lacks a menu of passes, strong arm, lacks touch on medium and short range throws, tell me how true the scouting report is now that we all have watched him for three years! hard to debate what you see repeatedly*
Look I hope HENNE can kick ass, but lets be realistic, he has alot of mental farts, its like watching a very talented kid with all the tools some how just not get it going.
I don't know I love some of his throws, but then others make me wana scream.

100% right on the money. Just when I hate him and want him gone he makes that bada$$ BULLET SPIRAL BETWEEN TWO DEFENDERS and it is caught...then I love him again. More times than not he disappoints.
Ok I think we are all on board with where everyone stands on this subject so why not lets move on fellas and talk about our NEWEST LINEMAN WE JUST ACQUIRED.
