Smith has proven to me that he's not cut out to be a quality NFL CB.
Back when we drafted him I thought he would grow into a FS.
Get him in the weight room, maintain his speed, and turn him into a ball hawking FS.
Oh yeah, and teach him how to catch!!

He had a good *COVERAGE* game yesterday.....he just dropped an easy pick 6.

Matter of fact, the great Vontae is the one to give up the passing TD.

Smith is very averse to contact. He is not physical at all. I don't see how he could move to safety. He would be a horrible run supporter.

I disagree that he had a good coverage game. He was beaten downfield several times, but poor throws kept the plays from being made.

He needs a lot of improvement. He doesn't appear fluid at all. He also doesn't judge the ball in the air well.

Smith was able to use his height as his crutch in college, but I still think he has a lot of potential. With the right coaching he could be an excellent CB. Remember, it took several years for Patrick Surtain to mature into a great CB. Sam Madison came on quicker (like Davis).
