Hell yeah why not the phins have enough trouble as it is scoring tds why not add another offensive weapon if we can... I don't see how it could hurt to have him on the roster for the rest of the year.
we are 18th in the waiver wire claim order. so if we put in a claim and no one with a higher claim number (worse record) claims him then we get him for his 3.3 mil salary. if he is claimed by a team he does not wish to play for he can refuse to show but they have his rights at that point.
I'm not really sure how it works in the NFL but I hope we get a fair shot at him that's all we can ask for I for one believe he would be a great asset to this team.... Marshall, moss, bess, hartline, fasano sounds pretty sweet to me + R&R I think we are GTG.
First, Randy has not been released officially as of yet. I suspect he will though and the Vikings are trying to reach a trade agreement with someone now.
However, if he is released, it would not surprise me if he refuses to play with other teams and ends up back where he started. The Patriots will make out like the bandits they are and have always been.
It is disgraceful the way other teams continue to make poor deals with them. They already have 2 1st round picks and 2 second and 2 third. I bet another team trades for one of the Patriots' second rounders this year for a 1st rounder next year. They just keep pulling that crap. I am sick of them.
we only get him if we put in a waiver claim and the 17 teams ahead of us do not. Normally I'd say no way that happens; however, if Randy makes it clear that he doesn't want to play for those teams (could be the case since most of them are crappy and/or in lame cities) they may not bother putting in a claim

Yeah I realized that later and was actually coming back on to retract the statement.
I pray and hope like all hope we can get him he is that speedy deep threat sure handed guy we need, even though he does take plays off we all know. I would still want him
"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry
How good is he if Minnesota is going to release him just saying. Would I sign him maybe depends on if he really wants to play for our team or just collect a check, and only Randy really knows the answer to that question.
Come on 40+ year old Farve with the season he's having starting at QB of course Moss isnt going to look as good. Adding a WR like Moss drastically improves the phins offense you can't put dub coverage on both Marshall and Moss... Adding Moss would take this offense to another level

Oh yeah...doh! Maybe we could work out a nod-nod wink-wink trade or something.
Look if we get him off waivers then we go to superbowl.
YES he would do that much for our offense, can you imagine him one on one, long bombs all day, not to mention you will never see more than 7 in the box when 1st and ten or 2nd and short, why good god Ronnie and Ricky would have big games.
The opposing defense's would be forced to at least put 3 defenders on Moss and Marshall at all times, to do not would be foolish.
So 8 players would remain, and you can bet a safty would almost always play deep, so basically there entire db's would be out of the game, leaving 7 in the box, to contain the run, heck we wouldnt even need to have a 3 wr set, just him on one side, and Marshall on the other lol...
I can see some crummy crapy desperate team making a stab at him as if he can come in and save there team lol..
Seriously we are the only team that can actualy use his services, and he could in return make it to the SB again this time actualy win it.
Every other team besides Dallas lol that is lower on the poll doesnt have a legit shot at making the SB, or already has there deep threat besides Redskins, but they don't even have a stable NT or QB situation.
Mia or bust and I think Moss knows this so I will be the first to say welcome to MIAMI MOSS, I hope you and Marshall tear it up.
I'm saying it now, we get Moss we start Pennington. Henne would just waste his talent. For what its worth I have been a Henne supporter all season but if we make this acquisition we gotta exploit it to the hilt.

How is Penny supposed to utilize Moss as a deep threat if he can't throw the ball more than 10 yards?!! Henne is the ONLY QB we have that can fully utilize Moss.
Why get Moss? It'll piss of Marshall because he'll get less balls. And I don't know about you but we've got a QB who is afraid of throwing long and doesn't utilize what he has now.
Just because we bring him in doesn't mean anything. Look at Ochocino and
Owens and their record. We have a better offense and even I think Henne is better then Palmer. Palmer was great in his day pre-injury, but no so now.
A good QB who will withstand the ranting of them is a must if we line up Marshall and Moss. They would have to say up front that this is a Super Bowl run and there will only be so many balls out there. So be patient and hopefully the ring on the finger is better then all the statistics in the bag!
