I am totally getting yatil green flashbacks. unfortunately I think we've seen the last of odrick. fortuntaly the team never got accustomed enough to rely on him
Another violation of the sacred draft code (like Pat White etc.)?
Based on this dudes college history (same "glass leg" issue) it really looks like we blew it with this pick. Where was our due diligence?
It seems like after trading down we just grabbed Odrick because he fit spec and ignored his surgically repaired leg coming out of college – NOT a good decision for a 1st round pick.
hart lee dykes. can't think of a player who broke a leg multiple times and ever amounted to anything. maybe mark sherrard briefly? am I the only person who remembers these guys?
Terrible news . Maybe he can come back next year healthy and have a prosperous career. Without any more injuries. Its not looking very good for Odrick. Too bad. He had a lot of potential.
PS. Maybe they brought him back too soon IMHO. Time for soliai and starks to take their game to the next level.
well he did only have one broken leg in college thats not hardly enough to say he has issues with it there was nothing to say he would have 2 more in his rookie nfl season.
"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry
I think I remember Sam Bowie coming back after doctors put a metal rod in his leg. It was just a weak bone. That might work for Odrick, and hopefully they'll do that BEFORE he blows his career.
Another wasted 1st round pick!!!
What a monumental setback for the growth of our D.
All that guaranteed $$ to a guy with only one good stick.
He's turning into another Ireland bonehead pick.
BUMMER!!!

I don't remember but was he injury prone coming out of college?
I think its just bad luck, i don't see it as a bonehead pick because the kid could play. It could happen to anybody.
well it's better I guess that its the other leg but still, the rod inserted with the break had to be a ??? coming out.
Whatever, I'm not a pro scout and the kid could stil prove to be worthy of his draft status -- but history tends to paint a different % based outcome IMO.
I would like to know how much concern there was in general about the break and how we "determined" he was not a glass risk. I'm sure we'll never know...
