Wow I just say we need a dominate C and NT and new Rb's with one dominate FS.

If we get that then this team will destroy, A new OC is deff needed.

Parcells definitely leaves a lot of unfinished business.

OL- despite spending huge money here, we still have questions in the interior of the line. Is Joe Berger a long term answer at C? And Richie Incognito is a free agent after this season.

RB- Both Ronnie and Ricky are free agents after the season. And there is no heir apparent.

TE- Anthony Fasano is a free agent after the season, and there is no one behind him on the depth chart.

WR- The team lacks a deep threat at WR. Maybe Roberto Wallace or Marlon Moore will develop into one. But, right now, we still need someone to stretch the defense.

The picture is a lot better on defense. Assuming a return to health for Merling and Odrick, DE should be set. There is a question around whether or not Starks should stay at NT long term. Will Crowder be the permanent guy next to Dansby? Will Chris Clemons get better?

I think we are good at WR, RB & TE are definitely issues. With the odrick injury DL may be a need.

Can Adalious Thomas help?

adalius thomas is pretty old he would be a kind of short term answer to anything besides i think he is an ILB which would be of no help. I may be wrong though he might be an OLB in which case he may be able to play DE. But still only an answer for a couple years at best. if he is any good any more.

I still think we need an *ELITE* Safety over the next draft or two.

The Ed Reeds, Troy Palamlous, Laron Landrys and the couple other elite Safetys are what sets their respective defenses apart.

Bob Sanders when healthy is another.

I think we need to see what happens the next couple weeks before we start talking about what we need.
We might be better than we think.

I cant disagree with that. I am all for an elite safety in next years draft.

It will be tough to find another NT that can replace Paul Soliai. Good NTs are hard to come by.

Lets look after the steelers game. They will expose many weakness' if we lose bad. If we win, then we may be better than we thought.

Great point a elite safty would make this team over the top on defense.

I mean really if we had Polamalu we would not lose.

I suppose if he coached Special Teams, maybe. If he only plays defense, you can't say he would have made a difference when we played NE.

smiley and grove were big $$ signings and both were cut. that's the problem. we spent the $ on 4 players and only 2 are still on the team

Armando Salguero reported today that Ireland contacted the Patriots last week about trading for Logan Mankins. So, it's pretty apparent that Ireland considers the guard position an area that still needs improvement.
