"Wah, Peter King's opinion does not reflect my own. He must be biased!"
Umm, as Phins fans, we're a little biased too, don't you think? I'm just gonna let it all play out then just smile to myself when we prove everybody wrong.

Agreed. Every announcer I've heard on the radio or seen on TV is picking the Ravens next week. It's going to feel so great to make all of them eat crow.
I don't mind that people pick the Ravens. Some Phins fans on this board are picking the Ravens. I just hate his overall negativity towards us - particularly where he said the Pats are out of the playoffs because they allowed us to beat them with a high school formation. He gave the Phins no credit at all. Oh well, I guess that will come with winning.
You are so eager to find negativity against the Phins that you did not consider the context of how Peter King used the term "high school formation".
He is knocking the Pats for letting us use that against them, but they were not prepared for a simple formation. He is NOT knocking us for using it. It is an exciting formation because so much can happen, and it's very fun to watch.
He also says "fair is fair" as far as them not making it in the playoffs. I'd say it is more a knock on the Pats than anything else, but take it as you will...which is in a negative way.

So eager to find negativity against the Phins? Wow! You definitely misunderstood what I meant to say.

King's comment that the Pats allowed us to beat them with a HS formation gives no credit to the Phins. His point was clearly to make it sound like the better team lost that game. I totally disagree with that.
You have to remember that Peter King is a New England guy. He was born in Massachusetts and raised in MA and CT.
He's also right about the Brees thing. The Carolina punter shanked a punt for 20 yards late in the game. At that point, New Orleans was throwing on every down. If it had been a normal punt, Brees likely would have broken the record.
He was on a Boston sports radio station last week, and had some good praise for Tony Sparano and what he's accomplished this season. He related a story about how he was going to interview Jimmy Johnson in 1997. It was the Thursday before the last game of the year, when we'd be facing the Pats with the division title on the line. It was right after practice, he walked into JJ's office, and JJ was online checking out his portfolio. King said at the moment, he wondered how much JJ really wanted to coach any more. And then he compared him to Sparano, saying that he'd guaranteee that Sparano hasn't spent a minute on anything unrelated to football this season.
Michael Vick? Ah, hell no! I'm sorry...I can't see that at all! Why do we need a guy who has spent time in prison? I don't think it's cool at all to have the attitude that a guy can do whatever he wants as long as he can play football. That is also the wrong message to send to kids. As far as I'm concerned, Michael Vick can just go away but he won't. What do you want to bet that Al Davis or Jerry Jones will have their people scrambling to make a deal with Vick as soon as he's out of the joint. Some people have no sense of decency. I'm no animal rights activist but dogfighting is just indecent.
Michael Vick would be an interesting player to handle the Wildcat. Can't say I would be overjoyed to have him on my team. But he's paid his debt to society, so I don't see a morale problem with signing him. There would obviously have to be some conditions on his contract.

F Vick. He should be shot for what he did. Torturing animals is about as low as it gets.
