Anyone know the rules for who is eligible for the PUP list or not? One of the stories today was about how the Fins have tough decisions to make on Haynos, Will Allen, and Garner. One article mentioned how Haynos is not eligible for the PUP list, so I'm assuming that's true for Allen and Garner as well. If that's true for Will Allen, that could really mess up some roster moves. If they have to carry him on the 53, and he's not ready to start the year, they'd almost have to keep 6 corners, initially. And Nate Garner is a really valuable backup for his versatility. If they have to keep him on the 53, that's another roster spot we're going to lose early on.
Apparently, in order to be placed on the "reserve PUP" list for the first 6 games of the regular season, a player has to have been placed on the "active PUP" list at the start of training camp. So, since Haynos, Allen, and Garner (and Crowder) participated in camp early on, none of them are eligible for the reserve PUP list.
