RB that got away

Last year this time Jalen Parmele the RB we had in camp was outstanding. We just didn't have a spot for him. He was on our practice squad till December. Then Baltimore signed him away.

This kid has turned into a stud RB. So much so that the Ravens are going to trade or cut Willis McGhee and make Parmele their #2 RB behind Ray Rice. Oh, and Parmele is there starting kickoff return guy.

Wish we could have kept this kid. He is better than both Cobbs and Hilliard right now.

Yup. Not knowing if Ronnie will stay healthy, and Cobbs is a question, Parmele would be nice to have.

We should have kept him on his last name alone, even if he spells it differently than Bernie, it was a sign!

Maybe I would have believed that if his name were Czonka. Even so, for that very reason, some people thought Brian Griese was going to be something special for us. The guy is still following in his father's footsteps and has become a college football analyst.

Hard to forget the name - much like another very solid backup we had. I remember when we cut this guy last year - I though it may come back to haunt us.

Oh well, that's a less hazardous career with potentially a greater longevity. No jokes about ethnic food Brian and you'll be fine!

Today is not a good day to be wishing for Parmele. And to say he is better than Cobbs and Hilliard is just wishful thinking.

Parmele 7 rushes for minus 7 yards and a fumble that was returned for a TD by the defense. Not a good day indeed.
