Wednesday morning practice NOTES
Date: August 11, 2010 06:00AM
Watched Jared Odrick eat Jake Long alive on one play for a sack. He's ready to go against starting LTs in the NFL. Quick learner.
Rookie ILBer Austin Spitler had an excellent practice. He produced a couple of would be sacks.
Jake Grove started practice but didn't finish it. He eventually went to the bikes.
Sean Smith had his best practice of camp this morning. He had a pick-6 and a couple of impressive deflections.
Quarterbacks are working on their footwork after practice today. Pat White sparingly got any reps at all.
Bill Parcells and Jeff Ireland spent a long time watching O-line vs. D-line drills, one on one. Wonder why...just kidding. Plenty of sacks.
Ronnie Brown fumbled a pass and Randy Starks immediately scoped it up. Quick reaction.
Jason Allen had a great interception on a Tyler Thigpen pass intended for Marlon Moore.
Richie Incognito is a good in-line blocker but his pulling needs plenty of work.
Cameron Wake had a productive day, producing a couple of impressive sacks. He's hard to block.
Will Allen sitting out Wednesday morning's practice means rookie Nolan Carroll will get a heavy dose of nickel CB work.
Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown is the man leading the clap it up efforts. It's primarily the offense that's doing it.
I'm starting to sense that Cory Procter is on the bubble to make the 53. He might be the last guy left off.
CB Jason Allen is a dominant special teams contributor. That's why he's still with the team, and will likely remain with the team.
Vontae Davis laid a big shot on Ricky after an 11-on-11...Vontae also made a great break-up vs. Bess
Karlos Dansby racked up another training camp sack this morning off of a blitz.
Pat White didn't see many reps. On one of his few chances he fumbled a Joe Berger snap
Thigpen had a dismal AM session. 2 INT's (Smith, J Allen) and wasn't very accurate
Paul Soliai is looking MUCH better as a NT lately, but it doesn't hurt that he was facing Andrew Hartline a lot today.
Karlos Dansby said one of the best attributes "the player" has is his ability to set the edge on running plays.
