You guys think he'll get alot of cheers in that game?
How do you think you'll react when you see this guy in green playing against us.
I don't know about you but if I hear one Fin fan saying something stupid like " JT we still love you here, woo hoo " or anything like that I'm gonna snap!
It all depends on how JT handles himself in the media and such leading up to the game, can have a major impact on how the fans treat him.IMO. If he uses Miami to get Jets fans fired up about his loyalty or a grudge match against the FO, then he will receive a rough welcoming. If he just plays and is respectful and says the right things leading up to the game, he might receive a more warm welcome. His last comments in the press, he said all the right things, so he might have a well planned out PR response for that week being worked on already. lol..
Yeah, I used to love JT also. USED TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's in the past. I don't care how good he acts with the media, or how many nice things he has to say.
Bottom line, this guy is playing with the enemy! The pig Jets! so he has to get treated like a pig. Put an apple in his mouth and roast his ass.
Some of our fans are just way too nice and kind. Nothing kind about this game. If you are a true Dolphin fan, you don't cheer for this prick only because of the uniform he is wearing. I actually hoped he would do good in Washington, but the JETS are a totally different animal.
Right on Wanny... If i even see a fool wearing one of JT's Miami Jerseys i will personally DDT or Piledrive his ass.. GO Dolphins!!!! J-E-T-S, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK!!!!!!!!
We will see JT retire at Sun Life stadium, with Lusaka's help...KABOOM!!!
Cmon on man JT wont even be a factor, Jake Long will eat him alive, and Vernon Carey can well handle himself against him as well.
Im more worried about Jenkins shutting down the run, that JT getting a sack.
The Jets should be worried about Wake. I don't realy seeing us losing to these chumps at all, not with Marshall. Sorry but with him, we just have too many weapons to cover, good luck though!!! especialy week3 because Holmes wont be playing so again..

I wouldn't count on that. JT can still play and he probably knows how to beat Carey. I expect that JT won't be shut out, but it also won't be earth shattering if he makes a play.
> The Jets should be worried about Wake.
Yea, thats what I'm thinking. While JT is getting all the pub, Wake will be looking to make a statement. If I were the Jets, I'd watch out for the guy.
OK WHAT 36 37? comming off a injured shoulder, on a new team, with new cordinator, lets see Im looking back at the Redskins, 3 years ago, and it cant be any better than that!
Seriously he is done. We were all hopeing that before he got traded, he could rack out one more season at a title shot, but deep down we all know after last year, he just isnt the same man.
Worry if you want, but ill pass the time gettin the "popcorn ready".
I will always be a fan of JT... Will I cheer for him at the Game??? No way, how can I cheer for a Jet player??? I will forever respect what he meant for this team those years I sat in the stands and thats all we had to watch... Wish JT well in life but not so well in a Jets uniform... I met up with JT one time out on the streets outside Miami and what a great guy he was... My hope is in training camp he gets an injury not so painful but bad enough to end his Jets days before he plays a game...

It will probably be no different than when Welker went to the Pats. Some people will wish him well, but no self-respecting Dolphin fans will root for him!

Yeah, not even the guy who posted on this very site "I hope JT kicks our @ss!"

heeres something to ponder, whats everyone feeling about JT wanting a Zach Thomas type deal where next year he signs a one day contract and wants to retire a fin? personally im against it, not because he went to another team twice but because it was the jets imagine if marino went to the jets because he felt he had a better shot at a super bowl that way. we would still hate him for it.

Depends on what happens this year and who's running the Fins.
If Parcells quits/retires after this year or if the Fins have a bad year and everyone is fired, then a new GM and coach might want to do it as a peace offering to Fins fans as the....see we wouldn't have let him go and we now take him back with open arms and let him retire as a Dolphins. As a way for the new group to win some good PR with the fanbase.
If the Jets beat Miami twice and JT plays a big role in a game leading Jets to a win or if the Jets by the off chance win the super bowl or something, I dont care who's in charge no way Miami lets him retire a Dolphin with a 1-day contract.

First lets make something clear - the first team he was traded to. That doesn't count.
He chose to go to the Jets. Two places a Dolphin player can't choose to go and return like any other - the Jets and the Patriots.
When JT signed a contract with the Jets on his own accord, he pretty much sealed his fate. He won't get to retire a Dolphin, and it will be a long, long time before he gets in the Ring of Honor.
That Ring of Honor thing is so watered down its not even funny.
People make such a big deal of it. There are guys who have no business being up there on that thing that have gotten that honor. JT is a hall of fame player going to Canton so he will get up there at some point before he dies.

I'd expect that kind of cynicism from you.
I kinda like it. Every player up there was a solid player for my favorite team. I see no need to dis it.

To most of us, they were a little bit more than 'nice'. Betters was an absolute beast to watch. Moore was extremely prolific. They DO deserve a spot, most definitely.

There have been what, about 20 inductees, for a team that spans almost 45 years? That's not watered down in my eyes. Granted, the entire 72 team was inducted as a unit, but I count that as one induction. For good reason.

Nobody is doubting Moore as the player but Honor Roll?
Here is the problem with the Dolphins Honor Roll. You got good, but not great players, like Moore, Betters to name 2 up there... Yet a guy like Jim Mandich who as a player and broadcaster has given over 30 years of his LIFE to this organization and the city of Miami as a player, broadcaster, talk show host doesn't have a spot in the Honor Roll. HELL, even the Yankees gave a spot to Bob Sheppard in Monument Park at some point for years of service with the team!! Mandich was a player, on the perfect season team, and then a broadcaster and unofficial mascot in some regards for this franchise since the day he retired and started his radio show in Miami in 1983. Hell he has been on the payroll essentially for the last 20 years pretty much.
Honor Rolls to me are like all start games... popularity contests and who hasn't pissed someone off. Like Jake Scott going in just this year. Please he should have been in years ago, but because he was on Shula's bad side, the organization didn't honor him till now. And have put lesser people in the honor roll before him. It's all politics, and its been watered down. Some teams do it right, some don't. Miami
