it says he hasn't played in a 3-4 defense before. I may be just dumb here but what is the difference between a 3-4 and a 4-3 for the secondary? its still a 4 DB set and i dont think it would call on him to blitz any more or less than a 4-3 plus it gives a 4th LB to cover slot recievers. again im probably missing something here but would someone please explain

The difference is spacing on the field. Where a guy stands pre-snap and what his responsibilities are post-snap.
