Personally, I believe that if Ronnie Brown isn't brought back after 2010, Ricky won't be back either. He's made it no secret that they're pretty much best buds, and I doubt either one wants to play in Miami without the other. Simply put, I doubt expect either of them to dawn a Phins jersey after this year.

Their friendship has nothing to do with it. If it did, JT would have been playing in Dallas (with ZT), not Washington, a couple years ago. If Ricky isn't back next year, then it will be about money only. I'm in MikeO's camp on this. Ricky wants to GET PAID. He's managed the money during his career extremely poorly, and he wants to make up for that before he retires.

Well bad analogy. Zach was cut. We traded JT. JT had no choice where he went. But you are right about the money. When you got 5 kids in 4 states and have been dragged to court numerous times over child support, its all about the money. With that said, I think unless Ricky is injured or has a fall off.....Parcells will take care of Ricky. I think Ricky is firmly in the camp of being a "Parcells guy." Plus, you have to remember Ricky was (and proably still is) in such bad financial shape he doesn't have an agent only because he don't want to give anyone a cut! So, my guess is Ricky stays as our #2. Ronnie walks. And we draft a young RB in the middle to late rounds next year. Or we sign someone in Free Agency to split time with Ricky.

Or, Cobbs and Hilliard get their chance to start.

Ricky does have an agent. He just recently hired Drew Rosenhaus. Although, Ricky has said this is not a "sign" he'll play in 2011.

After watching the documentary, his financial status doesn't look as bad as I thought. At the end, it mentioned his 8+ million dollar debt to the Dolphins remains a private matter between the two parties.

Could that mean FO/Ross is willing to forgive the debt if RW finishes his career at an agreed upon timeframe?

clearly the phins are going to forgive the debt if he plays out his contract and doesn't get suspended. they are holding that over his head to keep him on the team and in line. they would take a huge pr bashing if ricky does all that is asked of him till the end of his carrer and then they tried to collect the $. actually pretty brilliant strategy by the phins.

I think the BEST news that Ricky has had in years is when the Fins were sold from Huizenga to Ross.

Ross MIGHT forgive that debt. Huizenga wouldn't have ever considered it
