ESPN just reported that Philly is on the phone with Miami wanting to get the #12 pick. Something might happen soon

Sal Palontonio <sp> is reporting they want Earl Thomas and they might need to trade higher than 12 to get him, but as of now they are working on something with Miami.

Probably wont happen until the time of the pick if Thomas is there.

I'm thinking the same thing. Philly won't risk it if the guy isn't there.

If Oakland doesn't take him at 8 I think we are home free!

Word is even if Earl isn't there Philly still has their eyes on some other defensive players and still would want to move up.


Also Jax traded Quentin Groves to the Raiders (pending a physical) late yesterday, a sign they will go pass rusher at 10. Probably Derrick Morgan

I think the deal for Thomas may have to be with Denver as I think they will take him unless they get a very nice offer.

I think Jax is looking at Haden. They just spent a high draft pick (8th) on Derrick Harvey last year and they also signed Kampman so they are set for now. Too many picks on DE's in the past dew years and they have a new GM now.

Philly doesn't want to part with pick #37 according to ESPN. Sal Pal is saying they think that 37th pick is GOLD being the 5th pick on Friday.

They want to get to 12 though to get a BLUE CHIP defensive player of some sort. Not necessarily Earl Thomas

There's also the "air" around that #37 pick, it being the one they got for D. McNabb. They don't want to seemingly throw that pick away just to move up.

Screw Philly , stand pat and take Earl Thomas.

Then on to Rd 3 we go!
