whatever the money, i'm just not convinced he's that good a receiver. even in 2008 when he seemingly blew it up, it was really just a string of several really good games at the end of the season. Over the course of his 7 seasons, he averages 53 catches, 812 yards and a bit over 4 TD...yawn. That's nothing more than the next step in the evolution of Brian Hartline...or about what Ted Ginn did in 2008.
i for one am glad we didn't get him. i may eat those words, but it just didn't feel like he was what we truly need...perhaps again my penchant to feel good about giving up good for the possibility of better or best.

But he has had no help in the places he has played. Tampa last year had 4 garbage Qb's. In SF he wasn't playing with Montana. In Cleveland he had no help. And hew as in Dallas before Dallas got good.
Bryant now in Cincy with Palmer and OchoCinco will have a great year. I think he would have had a great year in Miami too.
