Translation: He's not coming back unless someone makes him a really good offer.

Yep!

And honestly we don't need him back. He's old. He's broken down. We need to revamp that entire DT position. So might as well blow it up, let him go on his way and just start over.

He would be a great option for a alternate/backup so he doesn't wear down. He and Hampton or Wilfork or a draft pick would provide great depth.

Last article I read he said he wanted to come back but it depends on if the Dolphins want him and his recovery.

Soliai could be trade bait for a 5th or 6th.

who would give up a 5th or 6th round pick for Solai?

Seriously, you people have no clue as to what the NFL Trade Market is all about!!!

MikeO never gets enough credit for being a brilliant NFL mind! The rest of us need to take notes when he speaks. I say we keep the Ferg and he proves MikeO wrong!

When Ferguson was healthy last year, We held opponents to 93.7 rushing yards per game. When he was out we allowed 135.6

Anyone still think NT is not a high priority.

It's the highest priority we we have. Even more than MLB.

Solai isn't any good which means we very well have no NT of any worth on our roster as of today.

I would be hard pressed to decide which we need more....a NT, WR or ROLB and LOLB or FS.

One thing is for sure. We have a lot of holes.

Must have....NT, ROLB, LOLB, WR, FS

needs....ILB, FS

wants...RB, TE, ILB

How in the heck did we get so needy so fast? We may be screwed.

Based on talent and depth together (or lack-of), I'd put it THIS way:

Must have...NT, ILB, FS

needs...OLB, WR

I would rather go into the season relying on Channing Crowder and Akin Ayodele than Ted Ginn and Brian Hartline and Charlie Anderson and Cameron Wake.

If we can get a good NT to protect them (Hampton), our ILB's can be sufficient. They were ok in 2008. Not to say we don't need upgrades. I would at least like to see Ayodele replaced though.

Don't even start with me. lol

I am beginning to have second thoughts about Casey Hampton though....

Check this out....

Sun, 27 Jul 2008The Pittsburgh Steelers announced they have placed DT Casey Hampton (conditioning) on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

The Associated Press reports Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said there was not any update available on NT Casey Hampton (overweight), who has yet to practice during training camp.

Gerry Dulac, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Pittsburgh Steelers DL Casey Hampton (undisclosed) will miss the team's preseason opener Friday, Aug. 8, against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Mon, 11 Aug 2008 00:27:07 -0700

Gerry Dulac, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports the Pittsburgh Steelers have removed DT Casey Hampton (conditioning) from the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Pittsburgh Steelers DT Casey Hampton (groin) was limited during the team's practice Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Pittsburgh Steelers DL Casey Hampton (groin) will not play in the team's Week 4 game.

Pittsburgh Steelers DL Casey Hampton (groin) has been ruled out of the team's Week 5 game.

Pittsburgh Steelers DL Casey Hampton (groin) is expected to practice Wednesday, Oct. 22, and is questionable for Week 8. However, at this point, Hampton has a good chance of playing.

Pittsburgh Steelers DL Casey Hampton (toe) is probable for the team's Week 9 game, although he may not practice until Thursday, Oct. 30.

Pittsburgh Steelers DT Casey Hampton (toe) missed the team's practice Wednesday, Nov. 5, but his status for Week 10 is unknown.

John Harris, of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, reports Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said he is not sure if DT Casey Hampton will report to training camp in shape. "I'm always in a wait-and-see position (with Hampton)," Tomlin said.

Not sure if Parcels will put up with this kind of laziness.
