Looks like he is leaving ESPN and going to DirecTV. THANK GOD!!! Maybe ESPN can get back to "real" broadcasting!!!!!

Give Berman the "RED ZONE" every Sunday. Let him do his dog and pony show for the few million who get Directv NFL sunday ticket and the few cable companies that carry NFL Network! And he will fade away and be a non-factor in the NFL Landscape!!!

And maybe ESPN can get back into the "broadcasting" business. Instead of the Henny Youngman school of one-liner broadcasts they put on led by their leader Chris Berman. Can DirecTV also hire Dick Vital and really make my day??!??!?

Don't really hate Berman, just feel like his time has passed. Time for some new blood. Berman can't be any worse than Rich Eisen, or the guy that is currently on RedZone. Would like to see a guy like Barry Sanders, or better yet Zach Thomas get a shot

btw, no one has reported this as a done deal. only rumors he might leave espn for another station after his contract w espn expires.

not official. But they are willing to MOVE the red zone studios to Hawaii for him. Since thats where he wants to live and retire. They are willing to give him full input on the new DIRECTV All Sports Channel. AND the guy running DirecTV sports is the guy Berman worked with at ESPN for a bunch of years.

It's all but done. I would be shocked if he stayed. In fact he would be a moron if he stayed!!
