If we get by Ravens, we have a shot at the AFC Championship.
Rothlesburger got carted off the field this week. Aside from that, Pittsburgh has been winning games by taking advantage of turnovers and mistakes. Not our style. We have a chance against the Steelers, we just need to beat Baltimore.
Indy 24 @ Ten 21
Mia 27 @ Pit 14 as Joey Porter sacks Big Ben 3 times.
AFC Championship...
Indy @ Miami
record temperatures in Miami as the heat index rises to 95 degrees and Miami stomps exhausted Colts 42-28 to advance to Super Bowl XLIII to face the Carolina Panthers!!!
NFC Championship = Eagles @ Carolina
If the Dolphins can go from 1-15 to 11-5 in one season, the sky is the limit.
The number one seed has failed to make the SB in like...the last 5 or 6 years.
I'm not certain about Baltimore. They are very tough, and we would not have beaten them tonigh. But if we show the discipline of 3-4 weeks ago we can win.
If we get by Baltimore, mark my words, the AFC Championship game will be in Miami vs. Indy. Then all bets are off.
The only edge we have over Baltimore right now is better coaching & a better QB (Flacco has thrown 2 TD's and 3 Ints over the last 4 games). CP has been over 100 QB rating for 4 weeks straight!
Baltimore is +9 in give/takeaways and we are +14. They have given up 21. Their Def has forced 30 turnovers while we have forced 29.
Both teams are better than when we played in week 7 but you can bet our Defense will be a lot tougher on Flacco this time around. Goodman is now our best corner and Bell is still making plays. Hill is the weak link but they are better as a whole this time around.
We are also at home at no team has beat us more than once this entire season.
Last time we gave up 140 yards rushing and only gained 70. We are better against the run now as well.
THis Baltimore team is extremely tough. We will have to turn our game up a few notches to beat them. Is it possible for Miami to win? You bet your bottom dollar it is possible. But we need a much more aggressive pass rush than today, and many fewer mental errors (penalties). We need for Ricky to continue his sure-handed receiver reputation and not drop any 30 yard + passes. We need for Yeremiah, WIll and Andre to continue their great work in the defensive secondary and for Reynaldo to play more like he did two weeks ago.
We need Ted Ginn to grab more passes and take the heat off Bess and Fasano. We need our long snapper to settle down and keep giving us a good consistent product on punts. Even though we have had some offensive line changes recently we need those guys to really be tightly protective of Chad P and aggressively block a very tough Raven defense.
We need Joey P to get through the protection and sack Flacco a few times. We need a lot of energy and enthusiasm from the team & our fans.
Having our first Playoff game at home should help considerably. Being able to practice in our own facility and not have to travel, that will be our biggest advantage over Baltimore.
Don't forget that the first time we played the Ravens, we were without Jason Ferguson for the final 3 quarters and without Solaia because of a suspension thus enabling Willis MCGahee to score on a run up the middle. Chad also threw a pick six.
These were the 14 points we lost by.
We were a 2-4 teams the first time around. Since then we are 9-1.
I am not sure the wildcat will work against these guys as they stuffed us the last time. We need to change it up with misdirection as we did yesterday. They are very aggressive and we should use that against them.
You guys are right though....we need to play mistake free football to win.

I agree. Tough game upcoming. The Dolphins are capable, especially with a rabid 12th Man on their side. A vicious amount of pressure on rookie Joe Flacco will help, too.
Here's a scenario that would drive the faithful delirious...Dolphins defeat the Ravens and Steelers while the Colts defeat the Chargers and Titans. AFC Championship Game vs Colts in Dolphin Stadium on January 18.
First things first...Ravens. Dolphins will have to earn this victory with physical, mistake free ball.
