I see Clausen dipping even further once management people start really "looking" at him. I would LOVE to have Rolando McClain!! Big, young and nasty... the way God intended for a middle linebacker to be.
He did take Carpenter at 18 but how much did Jerry Jones have to do with that? That was 2006 and a big flop draft for Dallas. Fasano was the best pick and he never even started in Dallas. "They" took Carpenter over DeMeco Ryans, D'Qwell Jackson and Rocky McIntosh
He also took James Farrior at #8 his first time with full control. Farrior was the 1st LB taken and the best LB'er in the draft. (Jason Taylor and Mike Vrabel were DE's)
I wouldn't be disappointed with Rolando bc he looks like a cant miss prospect.
1. STL Jimmy Clausen QB
2. Det Ndamukong Suh DT
3. TB Gerald McCoy DT
4. Was Sam Bradford QB
5. KC Russel Okung OT
6. Sea CJ Spiller RB
7. Cle Eric Berry FS
8. Oak Trent Williams OT
9. Buf Anthony Davis OT
10. Jax Joe Haden CB
11. Den Dez Bryant WR
12. Mia Rolando McClain ILB
eetsi that looks plausible--at least the players in the top 10, if not their teams. I think spiller is going to go in the top 10 taken by someone who doesn't know what their doing (carroll or mcdanials). I think 2 QBs will go in the top 10 (but not #1 overall), and I think Oak and Buff will take OL. Which would push McClain or Bryant down to us.
I don't think there is any way that Denver takes a RB again this year. They took Moreno with their 2nd 1st round pick last year and he was just shy of 1000 yards (947 7 tds) and he only averaged 15.4 rushes per game.
I think Marshall is history and they have to replace him because they have no one else.
I dont know if I have ever seen almost all of us Dolphin fans on the same page as far as who we all want in the draft. I think about 99% of all Dolphin fans want Rolando McClain.

I've been clammering for an ILB ever since Zach left, and there hasn't been a talent like McClain in that timeframe. Nuff said.

Coming out of college none of those guys were as accomplished as McClain.

A lot is going to change with the draft rankings after the combine. It always does but please explain...how is RM more accomplished coming out of college than these other guys?
I would like to see how RM compares to Ray Lewis and a few of the more recent LB'er draftees for college stats.
When it comes to the draft, no kid is ever as good as advertised. If we pick McClain thats good. He is a fine player. But he isn't the "2nd coming" or anything like that. The "hype" around some players as they enter the draft is amazing. And they never live up to expectations cause the bar is set so damn high.
And to the person who wants to see how he compares to Ray Lewis. HE DOESN'T!! Ray Lewis is a once in a lifetime type of player. A 1st ballot hall of fame player. An imortal NFL player. You compare any college player to Ray Lewis or put the expectation of "he is the next Ray Lewis" on him is unfair.
