Who are we picking at 12?

OK, well now we are officially picking 12. Draft gurus, who legitimately could be there, given who picks ahead of us and their needs?

6 QBs in the top 11? That would be completely unprecedented. I hope it happens, but I'm not holding my breath.

What would we have to give up to move up from #12?

on the board... EARL THOMAS FS, DEZ BRYANT WR, DAN WILLIAMS NT

McClain could easily be gone...but I could see us using GINN or PORTER in a trade with Oakland to move up.

Only 2 QB's currently have first round grades. But I think 3 will go in the first round and there is a chance 3 guy in the Top 10 if Mallett has a good pro day

And KC isn't looking for a QB. They just gave Cassell a HUGE deal, its silly to think they would now draft a QB. Please

st. louis, redskins, oakland - could ALL be taking QBs and each may be a trading partner looking to trade down and get the samne QB on the board they would've wanted anyway.

Redskins are taking a QB. Buffalo probably will as well (depending on their next head coach). The wildcard to take a 3rd QB is Seattle

Oakland is saying they will give Jamarcus 1 more year. And St.Louis might not want to pass up on the Suh kid to build their defense. Their head coach is a former defensive coordinator and believes strong in defense defense defense

Pioli is in KC. No way he is getting rid of Cassel so quick and admiting failure only 1 year into his time there.

NO CHANCE OF THAT HAPPENING!

I don't know how anyone can say Tampa won't take a quarterback or that Josh Freeman is their franchise quarterback. The fans in Tampa are very upset with Freeman and quite a few want him replaced because they think he's a bust. Then there is also the very real possibility that they will bring in a new coach (they contacted Cowher and have offered a job in the front office to Tony Dungy)...if that happens all bets are off as to who they draft.

I however, don't think they will take another quarterback in the first round after taking Freeman at 17 last season.

anyone who thinks Freeman is a bust is nuts. The guy played very well in the 2nd half of the year with little to no talent around him

Tampa is not taking a QB after taking one in the first round last year. Esp b/c Freeman has shown a lot of potential.

I agree KC is not taking a QB in the first round after Cassell, who they gave a big contract too and also did not totally bomb. They did not give up much in the way of picks to get him.

Denver may take a QB at 10.

I'd say it's 50/50 that WAS takes a QB, they have a lot of needs along the OL and Campbell is actually pretty decent. It all depends on their new coach.

I think Stl takes Suh, not a QB. Buff and Seattle are more likely to take a QB.

If more than 2 QBs go before #12 I'd be shocked. There just doesn't seem to be any amazing QB prospects this season.

Campbell is done in Washington. Synder didn't want him last year and did everything to get rid of him. No way he brings him back

it will be up to shanahan. if he wants campbell as a QB they won't draft one in the first round. it's not snyder's call. for this season, at least, snyder will defer to his "football" people. or the people of DC will revolt. trust me, I live in DC, the level of anger against snyder is unbelievable.

We will pick Rolando McClain.

with a new coach likely in OAK, that makes them more likely to take a qb I think

Look for these players (in no order):

Rolando McClain
Dez Bryant
Derrick Morgan
Jason Pierre-Paul
Taylor Mays
Terrence Cody
CJ Spiller
Dan Williams

I am expecting our #12 pick to come from one of those guys.

I dont want Spiller or Williams this high, any of the others I would take, I guess.

But I am hoping for McClain to fall into our laps.

Dez Bryant fills 2 needs. One at WR and the other as a Punt Returner. I think if he's on the board it is an easy pick for Miami.

Unless we go out and get a stud WR before the draft then the need to draft one that high becomes less

how is it that risky to take a WR that high. the past few WRs taken high have panned out. Calvin Johnson, Michael Crabtree. Santonio Holmes.

Take away the idiot Raiders and the Ginn pick (both made by morons) and every high WR draft pick has panned out in recent years

i think you'd have to add reggie williams, mike williams, charles rogers, even roy williams to the list of high WR draft picks that haven't panned out. it's risky.

holmes, like reggie wayne, was a low 1st and both were paired with great qbs

top 10 nfl WRs from the past 10 years, good players but a pretty high bust rate--Ginn, Williamson, R Williams, R Williams, Reggie Williams (lots of R Williams!), Rogers, Terrell, Robinson, Warrick, Holt, Boston

bust rate=11 of 17!!

and I wouldn't call B Edwards worth his draft spot either

I didn't include this years draft bc too soon to tell, but Hayward-Bey looks like an all time bust too.

1 2 Calvin Johnson WR Georgia Tech Detroit Lions
1 9 Ted Ginn Jr. WR Ohio State Miami Dolphins

1 3 Braylon Edwards WR Michigan Cleveland Browns
1 7 Troy Williamson WR South Carolina Minnesota Vikings
1 10 Mike Williams WR USC Detroit Lions

1 3 Larry Fitzgerald WR Pittsburgh Arizona Cardinals
1 7 Roy Williams WR Texas Detroit Lions
1 9 Reggie Williams WR Washington Jacksonville Jaguars

1 2 Charles Rogers WR Michigan State Detroit Lions
1 3 Andre Johnson WR Miami (Fla.) Houston Texans

1 8 David Terrell WR Michigan Chicago Bears
1 9 Koren Robinson WR North Carolina State Seattle Seahawks

1 4 Peter Warrick WR Florida State Cincinnati Bengals
1 8 Plaxico Burress WR Michigan State Pittsburgh Steelers
1 10 Travis Taylor WR Florida Baltimore Ravens

1 6 Torry Holt WR North Carolina State St. Louis Rams
1 8 David Boston WR Ohio State Arizona Cardinals

Sometime next year I believe. He's still looking at missing next season at the very least, ala the commish coming down on him.

When he gets out it will be like Vick. Commish will give him a 2 or 3 game suspension but not a big one. Cause they guy would have spent a few years in jail.

Yep. On the other hand, if a small WR puts his hands on a guy who makes an interception, that's an immediate fine!

What about Demaryius Thomas WR from GT.

He put up hella good numbers in a running offense:

46 rec, 1154 yards, 8 TD's in 09
39 rec, 627 yards, 3 TD's in 08

When is he expected to go in the draft?
