Feel badly for the guy....good chance he's done for next season....9-12 months rehab...NFL wideout much more demanding with all the cuts and slants. I'd be shocked if he plays at all next season.
I feel bad for the guy. He's one of the most competitive players I've ever seen in the NFL. He's also the ultimate overachiever and is the second player in NFL history to return a kickoff and a punt, kick an extra point and a field goal, and make a tackle in a single game...and that's in the modern era!! It sucks that he plays for NE, but we had little choice when the offered the poison pill.
flip the bird all you want. You flip flopping again on Welker.
Go back and re-edit the original post and change your opinion for the 3rd time in the past 10 hours or so!!! Lord knows we caught you doing it the first time....ha ha ha ha ha ha
Boo-hoo for Welker, and the Patriots.
I'm sorry he hurt himself and all, but I don't really care.
I liked him when he was with us, but now that he's gone, so what?
If Sammy Morris gets hurt...BFD. They're Patriots now. Who cares?
If he were on my FF team, then maybe I'd care a little more, but that's it.
He'll get paid a hell of a lot of money to rehab and he'll be fine.
See ya in 2 years Wes.
I do agree that hartline has some of the same drive that Welker has, but what is going to happen when he gets really good in 3 years??? I pray to GOD we don't get bent over again!!! Hopefully Parcells, Ireland, et al have enough common sense to lock him ups sooner rather than wait and take their chances.
