Actually, I really like our picks so far.
I think its one of our best drafts in a LOOOONG time.
Start with Tannehill. I'm never going to criticize a team that NEEDS a franchise QB where you don't win without a franchise QB for taking a 1st round QB in the 1st round. I don't care if somebody had him ranked 4th, 8th, 10th, 15th...whatever...you either believe he's going to be your guy or you dont take him.
Martin is a steal in the 2d round. A STEAL. And he address our 2nd biggest need after QB. Nothing wrong with taking BPA AND filling a hole at the same time.
Vernon is very talented. McShay had him in the 2nd round. Kiper thought he'd be a 2 or late 1 if he'd gone back for his sr season.
Egnew is a big time receiving threat and uber athlete. He is a terrific fit for this offense. GB carried 5 TE's last year... FIVE. Fasano isn't a fit for this offense long term. He's to slow. Clay has upside but he's an H-back.
We now have a 4th, 5th, two 6ths and a 7th.
There are tons of WR's left and not much to separate them.
