Today Chambers caught 3 balls for 60yds, including 1 30yarder.

Not too shabby. Wish we had him.

Apparently Chambers 'people' believed the Phins would sign him if he cleared waivers.

Interesting that Bill Parcells son-in-law claimed him off waivers. I wonder if that was a scoop?

I'm not sure how much Chambers would help us right now, considering that our problem is dropped passes. I thought Chambers was a good WR, but drops were definitely his #1 flaw.

Makes me wonder if we shouldn't have offered to make a trade. Has a team ever done that (traded a player away, then traded to get him back a few years later)?

On the season:

19 catches, 371 yards, 19.5 yds/catch, 3 TD

That's 90 more yards than Camarillo and 26 yards less than Bess. That's more TD than all our WR combined. The yards per catch is 11 better than Bess, 9 better than Camarillo, 8 better than Ginn, and 2.5 better than Hartline.

It was a surprise that any team claimed Chambers off waivers because of his contract. And it's too bad, because he would have been an instant upgrade for us.

We cannot continue with Bess averaging less than 9 yards per catch, Camarillo averaging 10, and Ginn averaging 11. And all our WR have combined for 2 TD catches. If we are to make a run down the stretch, we need bigger plays in the passing game.

I am convinced the Pioli scooped Bill on the waiver wire.

It was a no brainer that we would be CC's favorite. Both teams needed help at WR, but once he cleared waivers....they would have little chance to sign him.

So claiming him was their only shot.

I am happy for Chris. He is back to being a key guy in the offence.

I think we could have benefitted by picking him up , (for nothing).

When Chris was here we didn't have much of a long ball passer, and his drops likely pale next to Ginn's.
