Kory Sheets

Hello all,

Huge BIG TEN fan and I love following the ex-big ten players. With the recent injury to Brown, do you think Kory Sheets will be activated for Thursday's game? He runs hard.

What has anyone heard on what your coaches think of him? I know the 49er staff did think he had skill and he could be something.

PS-Brown is on my ff team, how bad is he hurt?

thanks

Lex Hilliard would have to be hurt as well before we se Sheets. Have not heard how bad Brown is hurt. Could be a chance to see Henne in a more traditional offense for most of the game. I recommend you play Ginn if you have him on your fantasy team. Just kidding about that last part. LOL

I can definitely see him playing. Hilliard is active every week for playing on special teams, so Ronnie's roster spot is open. And they'd be foolish to go into a game with just Ricky and Hilliard active. I think Sheets would be a great choice because he is a different type of back. He's a nifty, slasher type with breakaway speed. It would definitely give the Panthers a different look than our typical power running game.

I thought Ronnie's injury was to the groin. I know its an ankle now. But he got punched in the nuts and grabbed there too, then he fumbled. I would fumble too.

If you watch the replay...it was a bad ankle roll.

Usually a guy rolls his ankle underneath him, this one was to the outside.

I've never experienced that. I thought it was broken for sure. Looked ugly.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's out for the season and they are playing it down to force Carolina to keep prepping for him.

reports are its a foot injury that could keep him out weeks. So this is a long-term thing

So with Ronnie done for the year, does Kory at least get a chance tonight? I hope so. I personally think he has more raw skill than Lex.

He's not on the active roster. Last night they activated S Nate Ness to take Ronnie's roster spot. It may change before tonight, but right now, he's not in the picture.

Actually, Sheets is activated and is 3rd on the depth chart.

My bad. You are right. We signed him to our active roster on 10/13, away from San Fran's practice squad.
