Not quite nuff said.
I think we all know we need to step up the passing game. But in all fairness, when you are #1 in rushing you are not going to be up there in passing. Where we need to step up is not only in receptions and yardage, it is in touchdowns. We need a couple big plays each game to really dominate on offense.

Then of coarse the D needs to keep it together.

Let's hope Henne makes it happen this week.

Considering our rushing game, we should sign Bart Starr as our QB.

With all game stats considered we drop to 18th in offense, and more in line with our record.

Speaks to the imppact when a team becomes one dimensional, despite the success in any one area.

The IND game was stuck out the most to make that point, as we did everything we needed to except play defense and score in the red zone.

I'm not so sure the IND game should be considered one dimensional. The game plan was to keep the ball away from Manning and that was for sure accomplished.
Yes, we should have had at least one TD pass caught, possible two. So the passing game should have been just fine. We need that game maker.

The D let us down in that game. Tight end goes to the house on the first play? Can't even come close to stopping them their last to possessions. That just plane sucks.

Yep ... pretty much says it all.

1 game (last) we brought the whole team and didn't hand the game over.

We have a tough run coming

Jets, Saints, Jets, Pats

Time to find the A-Game and bring it to the stadium.
- Next 4 games will define whether we contend for the playoffs or not
- 3 are in the division and all against the current division leaders
- 4th is against the team that beat one of the division leaders, thus a tie breaker

Bottom line:
- We are late to the party (winnning), but just may have the pieces to play with the elite, if we can get a little lucky and pull it together for this mini series.

I personally thihnk we have to have some new success in the passing game, maintain the defensive show we did last week and keep up the running success. A lot ... but doable.

Here's my take:

On OL we have 2 1st round draft picks including 1st overall.

At RB we a 2nd overall and a guy worth 2 1st round picks

At QB we have a 2nd round pick

A WR we have a 1st round pick who was selected for his return abilities and would 'develop' as a WR, a 3rd rounder, a 5th rounder, and 2 undrafted free agents.

I wonder why the running game is better than the passing game?
