So we pick a QB and a CB, and play each of them at WR? Last time we experimented like that Shula was our coach. Remember Jim Jensen and Tony Martin?
The guy fits the mold of Parcells type of guy. Big, athletic, fast.
remember Jason Peters was a TE converted to RT, converted to LT and became a Pro-bowler.
I'm not saying that it has to happen that way...but if you spend the 61st pick on a possession WR that isn't a travesty right?
If Smith was a 'sure thing' at CB he would have gone much sooner.
What I like about him to be honest, is that he has switched around so much, that really, he has HUGE upside. He hasn't played one position long enough to develop the skills and technique to make full use of his tools.

Our BIGGEST need was CB. We addressed that big time! Who would have thought that we would have two of the top 4 rated CB's on most phin fans wish list?
Obviously, SIP feels (as I do) that Ginn is going to break out this year....and we can still ad a WR like Louis Murphy tomorrow.
After the 1st round, the only WR worth taking was Robiskie and he was already gone by the time we picked. The value of the rest is pretty equal to what we can get tomorrow. Only 2 WR's were taken in the 2nd for a reason.
We had our choice of only Nicks and Britt and passed. Lets see what they do next year.
There was no one available at our 2nd pick that is going to contribute as much as Pat White next year.
