Actually, it did work.

According to Armando, Jeff Ireland called a "quick response" meeting with all local journalist.

In the meeting he promised that his plan is yet to unfold and that August is still far away. Urged fans to give it time.

But, he obviously got his feelings hurt, because if not, he would have never called this meeting.

OOOohhh, so all they were protesting was a lack of press conferences! Yeah I guess it did work then.

Well I guess he got at least a little heat from Ross, if not, there would have been no meeting.

No JC, they wanted their voice to be heard, when every news outlet is writing about it, NFL network is running a segment what is wrong with Miami, and Ireland and the Dolphins have to address it publicly, yes, they were heard, and their message went viral... That is better then anyone who organized the rally could have hoped for... Trying to deny its effectiveness at this point is foolish... What are we on the 3rd page of comments about the subject that was posted yesterday.... Yes talking point, goal reached...

Well certainly I misunderstood the goal of the protest. Bravo for them.

I actually gained more respect for Ireland for calling this meeting. It shows he cares for what the fans think and he is also showing accountability.
